Elite U17 Teams Set to Shine at DPL Nationals in Minneapolis
Minneapolis, MN – The 2025 DPL Finals bring together the top U17 teams from across the country in what promises to be one of the most competitive fields of the summer. With both the Super Group and Championship Division set to kick off June 24 at the National Sports Center, the stakes are high as players take center stage in front of college recruiters from across the country.
In the Super Group, all eyes will be on Rangers FC G08, the top-ranked team in the country according to the DPL National Rankings. With an astounding +78 goal differential and a perfect 14-0-0 record this season, they are the clear front-runners. SC del Sol (AZ) and Charlotte SA (NC) enter the event with dominant seasons of their own, scoring 56 and 60 goals respectively while remaining undefeated in league play.
NEFC Central and Tophat round out Group A and are both known for their possession-based attacking style. FRAM SC (CA) and Ginga FC (OH) also appear poised for deep runs, both ranked inside the national top 10 and featuring standout individual talent.
The Championship Division brings its own intrigue. Georgia Impact, Sporting CT, and LA Surf G08 lead the charge, each with top-20 national rankings. LFA Blue Star Premier (MO) and Sporting Slammers FC (CA) offer firepower up front, while Houston Rangers (TX) and City SC San Marcos are defensive stalwarts with strong goalkeeping and organization.
For many players in this age group, this week marks their first national showcase in front of top college scouts, making performances even more pivotal. The semifinals and finals on June 28–29 will decide who walks away with the national title—and who makes their mark with the next level watching closely.
