Have Your Say on Youth Soccer Registration
Dear DPL Families,
We wanted to share an important update from U.S. Soccer and encourage your involvement in shaping the future of youth soccer registration. In response to the ongoing Ecosystem Review, U.S. Soccer is considering changes to player registration formats, specifically between birth year (January 1-December 31) and school year (August 1-July 31 or September 1-August 31) registration systems.
U.S. Soccer recognizes that registration format is a complex, impactful issue that affects every player and has implications for growing the game and fostering player development.
To ensure all voices are heard, U.S. Soccer is conducting a formal survey with members, leagues, and clubs. Findings from this process will be presented at the U.S. Soccer Board of Directors meeting on November 22, with an anticipated path forward to be shared by the end of the year.
This is a critical moment for our DPL families to provide direct feedback to U.S. Soccer.
Your input will help ensure the best possible outcome for all players. We encourage you to participate in the survey by November 12 to make sure your voice is included in the assessment.
