THE DPL launches DPL MENTOR.
An Online and Blended Coach Education Program in Partnership with MiMentor.
Los Angeles, CA (May 15th, 2023) – The DPL is proud to announce the launch of DPL Mentor, an innovative, integrated coach education program for leaders and coaches to aid the development of Staff and Players. The DPL has grown significantly over the past 3 years and the league is firmly focused on continuing to improve the competitive standard for our members. Coach education is the next evolution for The DPL as the league strives to afford memorable and purposeful programming to its members.
The New Education program will include both online and in person learning opportunities. With over 70 courses already on the system and more being added on a monthly basis, the collaboration on this white-label portal with MiMentor is one of a kind for a youth soccer league. With on demand learning from best in class educators and mentors, and the ability to connect and learn with a global community of coaches, leaders, coaches, staff and players will Develop Further Together.
All content is academic-led with practical application. Each DPL staff member will receive access to the portal for free as part of their registration with the DPL. Bespoke courses in conjunction with organizations such as United Soccer Coaches will also allow our members to access paid courses that are accredited, giving another layer of development and education. In the future there will be exclusive in-person courses tailored to the needs of the Elite Female Athlete.
MiMentor is different to most coaching platforms. They believe effective coaching is much more than just the technical and tactical, and putting on practices and sessions. Mimentor provides coaches with underpinning knowledge of important coaching and player development aspects. With a MiMentor account through the DPL, coaches can access a huge library of coach education courses, resources, content, advice, webinars and downloads, covering areas including;
