THE 2008 FRAM DPL SQUAD SHOWS STRENGTH AGAINST GA COMPETITION
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 26, 2021)– The CLUB vs. CLUB model that has become the go-to system for Elite youth clubs around the country leads to leagues posturing to show strength, rivalries are created and parents perception becomes reality. But, is there really a tiered system where all of the best teams at each age level are squaring off? Not yet, based on the results from the GA West Regional where an invited DPL team, FRAM 2008 showed their strength and quality on the pitch in the 3 games they played.
Placed in a tier within another tiered system, in Bracket U14 – Showcase 3, the team was matched up against NorCal club Spokane Sounders, Broomfield from CO and the Youth Academy of the NWSL Franchise, OL Reign. After 3 games, the young ladies of FRAM DPL had won all 3, scoring 10 goals and conceding 3. The biggest result of the 3 day event was vs. OL Reign Academy, a 5-1 win that hammered home the point, not all leagues are created equal.
The DPL exists to provide clubs with a club vs. club model, that aids the development of players through the age groups, helps manage game days for players and all while adhering to fundamental standards to raise the bar in youth soccer for all of our members. The goal of the league is to provide purposeful and memorable experiences and we are thankful to the GA for inviting one of our teams the opportunity to have just that… Quality games in a well structured environment. The 2008 FRAM team had a great time, created some lasting memories and showed that to truly understand the levels of teams in this league, you have to do more than scratch the surface. There is quality across our league and on any given day can beat some of the teams from the best clubs in the country. We look forward to more teams having the chance to showcase their talent in the future.
